| Dr. Angela P. Noguera is an Endodontist dedicated full time to private practice in Washington, D.C. She received her D.D.S. degree in 1983 from the Universidad Metropolitana in Barranquilla, Colombia. Dr. Noguera proceeded to further her education in the United States and received a Master's in Science in Oral Biology at the University of Maryland, Graduate School and a Certificate in Endodontics through the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, in 1988. Her Master's Thesis results were published in the Journal of Endodontics, in 1990. Furthermore, Dr. Noguera has achieved the highest level of excellence recognized by her profession by becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. |

Dr. Noguera has been a
Clinical Instructor at the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, University
of Maryland and served as a consultant to the National Institute of Dental
Research. In 2006, she was inducted to two prestigious dental honor organizations,
the International College of Dentists (ICD) and the American College of
Dentistry (ACD).
Dr. Noguera is an active member of numerous professional associations
and study clubs. She is a mentor and charter member of the College of
Diplomates of the American Board of Endodontics. In addition, she is a
member of the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental
Association, the Maimonides Dental Society and the Greater Washington
Academy of Women Dentists. She is past president of the District of Columbia
Dental Society, the Edward C. Penick Endodontic Study Club, and the Maimonides
Dental Society.
In January 2006, Dr. Noguera was invited to lecture in Panama. She addressed
the annual Dental Congress of Panama in Spanish. She also lectured, in
both English and Spanish, at the 2006 Greater New York Dental Meeting,
which is the largest dental meeting held in the United States. Furthermore,
she has been invited to lecture at the Dental Federation of Central America
(FOCAP), in January 2010.
The Washingtonian Magazine periodically publishes a list of "Top Dentists" in the Washington area. This list is comprised of those dentists who have received the most recommendations from their peers. Since she has been in practice, Dr. Noguera has been honored to have been included on the "Top Dentist" list each time, most recently in August 2009.
For over 20 years, Dr. Noguera has been a dentist volunteer with the Spanish Catholic Center Dental Clinic. Her gift of service has contributed immeasurably to all efforts in reaching out to those "in need", particularly, in the Hispanic Community. In 2002, the Archdiocese of Washington honored her with a Volunteer Recognition Award in recognition of her commitment to community service, performing root canal therapy or giving "dental awareness and information" via radio interviews.
Dr. Noguera is happily
married to Dr. Ali Fassihi, and they are the proud parents of 3 children:
Eliana, Maryam and Roxana Fassihi. In her spare time, Dr. Noguera enjoys
and supports the Music and Arts. She is a regular at the Kennedy Center,
for a concert, a ballet performance or the Washington
Opera.
