Dr. Paula L. Russo is an Endodontist dedicated full time to private practice in Washington D.C. She is a 1977 graduate of Catholic University of America and received her dental degree from Georgetown University in 1981. Dr. Russo completed a Master's Degree in Oral Biology and a Certificate in Endodontics in 1984 from Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, University of Maryland. She has achieved the distinction and honor of being certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. |
Dr. Russo has been involved
in the clinical teaching of endodontics at the University of Maryland as an
assistant clinical instructor and at Georgetown Dental School as an assistant
clinical professor. She has served as a consultant to the National Institute
of Health, the National Public Health Service, and the Endodontic Department
at Bethesda Naval Dental School.
In 2006, Dr. Russo was inducted into the prestigious Pierre Fauchard Academy,
an international dental honor organization. She is an active member of the
American Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontists, and
the Georgetown University School of Dentistry Alumni Board. Dr. Russo also
serves as the Secretary/Trustee of the AAE Research and Education Foundation
and she is on the AAE Task Force for Recruitment & Retention of Endodontic
Educators. In addition, she is Past President of the Greater Washington Academy
of Women Dentists, as well as a mentor in the American College of Diplomates
of the American Board of Endodontics. She is involved in numerous professional
associations including the District of Columbia Dental Society and the Penick
Endodontic Study Club. Dr. Russo participates in community service through
volunteering at the dental clinic of the Spanish Catholic Center in Washington
D.C.
Since Dr. Russo graduated
from dental school, Washingtonian magazine has honored top dentists in the
Washington area only three times in 1997, 2003 and 2006. This list is comprised
of those dentists who have received the most recommendations in their specialties
from their peers. Dr. Russo has been included in their "Top Dentists"
referral list all three times.
